The Camden Courtyard development is a fully residential scheme in Camden Town, providing 164 residential units, half of these being private with 50% affordable housing integrated into the development using a double courtyard design as shown on the left. The specific S-shaped design allows for the perfect and tranquil setting for all types of tenants. In addition to this there is a communal rooftop terrace whereby all residents have access to use.

We aim to take inspiration from Camden due to the similarity in materials and design. The 14m masonry-clad blocks allow for the bedrooms to face the courtyard inside which allows for lots of natural light. In addition to this, we aim to maintain much of the materials used at the Mills in order to retain heritage. The lighter coloured brickwork suggests a clear division between the public and private realm whilst still being properly integrated. As well as this, the lighter brickwork will corporate with the nearby Silvertown Quays development.
