Implementation

In relation to our group pages, we wanted to make sure that the implementation of the community land trust is as smooth as it possibly can be. We aim to use the previously created groups in Newham such as Royal Docks Community Voice which can act as the community land trust. The group aims to 'create a safe space whereby residents and workers can have their say on the area they live in'. The pre-existing implementation of this group is hugely beneficial for us since it is a constant amongst all the large scale change, therefore putting the community at ease.

In order to fund this, we aim to apply for governmental funding in order to obtain the land. Then from here we aim to use as much input from the community in order to create a sense of unique developments that the community feel they have a significant involvement with. With the high levels of community input, the sense of trust for the development should be increased, resulting in a positive knock on effect.

Moving on from this, we aim to employ private building companies in order to deliver the development as well as requesting help from the community in order to further increase involvement. To further support the creation of a community land trust, it perfectly coincides with our vision of aiming to create a safe site designed by locals that promotes opportunities for the community whilst retaining the heritage of Newham. This clearly links to the idea of opportunities arising for the community.
